The Zoom B1X Four Bass Multi-Effects Pedal is a multi-effects processor designed for use with electric bass, offering an expression pedal for continuously variable control over certain effects. Housed in a user-friendly stompbox format, the B1X Four provides a wide array of effects, amp emulations, and features including a 30-second looper and chromatic tuner. With 68 built-in rhythm patterns, you can enhance your performances with drum loops, which is especially useful when utilizing the looper.
From distortion to chorus and beyond, the B1X Four offers over 70 different effects, including 9 bass amp models that replicate classic combinations. Certain effects benefit from the use of the expression pedal, allowing for smooth and gradual adjustments to the effect level. The pedal's operation can be customized via the device's display screen.
You can chain up to five effects at once, arranging them in any order you desire. These effects can be saved within the unit's 50 user-preset patches, allowing for quick and easy access to your preferred sounds. The pedal also features a three-knob tone stack and an overall output level knob that remain consistent as you cycle through your patches, ensuring a cohesive sound.
In addition to the onboard effects, you can edit or add more effects using your computer and Zoom's Guitar Lab software. Simply connect the pedal to your Mac or Windows machine via USB to access additional effects and patches.
With various input and output options, including instrument and auxiliary inputs, as well as amp/headphone outputs, the B1X Four offers versatile connectivity for different setups. It can be powered by four AA batteries, providing up to 18 hours of runtime, or via a dedicated ZOOM AD-16 AC adapter or USB connection.
