This dryer is so quiet I had to check to see if it was running! After researching dryers for four days, this one had the best and most features suited for my needs, even outdoing the high end dryers. All reviews I read from web sites have this dryer rated very high. Dries very quickly and the moisture sensor cuts the dry time in half versus my old brand name dryer. Having been without a dryer for 5 days, I had enough laundry to use all the features, such as auto timer, sensor dry, energy saver, wrinkle remover, casual, heavy, etc. all worked well beyond my expectations. Very large drum that holds my king comforter, a great plus. If you are looking for a dryer that has basically the same features as the high ends, and don't need additional bells, whistles, and features you won't ever use, I highly recommend this dryer. One thing to point out is to make sure to check your area dimension as this is 29" wide as opposed to others at 27". I'm glad I noticed this before purchasing and even happier that it fit. Great bang for the buck!

I bought this dryer because my old dryer died and couldn't be fixed. I needed a dryer quickly and had virtually no time to shop and compare. Price was a major concern of mine. I bought it using technical comparisons and by reading reviews. I did not physically see the dryer. Traditional - means using old - not much digital technology. There isn't much current technology involved - mechanical switches. You can make your own judgement whether this is good or bad - but this does lower the overall cost. I personally don't care for the fold out door. It sets too low to be very useful. I prefer a swinging door. With it, I can hang shirts and slack on it and place other items on the washing machine. I have found that the auto sensing dry system doesn't work that well if you have a combination of heavy and light items in the dryer. The lighter items dry okay and leave any heaver items to be dried again. This is a nuisance. For the price, I wouldn't say that this is a bad dryer, but I would suggest moving up in price and getting a better, more modern dryer. If cost is a major concern to you - buy it. But, consider that dryers last a very long time. So, any extra money you spend on a better, more modern dryer is actually spread over many years. I recommend buying a better dryer - one from Whirlpool.

Purchased this Whirlpool dryer to replace my old Whirlpool dryer that I have had for over 11 years. The motor finally gave up but with daily use I was more than pleased that it lasted that long! This dryer is a step above what I would call a "basic" dryer and doesn't have all the bells and whistles, which I didn't want or need. It gets the job done and my clothes dry fast. I also went ahead and purchased a new high efficiency Whirlpool washer and love it too!

We had an older machine and this s a great improvement. Towels are fluffier and whole load seems to dry faster. The door latch system needs some rethinking. Latching is secure but the metal rod attached to the machine as a part of the catch mechanism sometimes catches clothing. I have not torn anything yet but have had clothing get hung on it. (Maybe two plastic pieces that drop down on either side of the rod and as the door closes get pushed back into the machine during the latch engaging process. )

This dryer has been an awesome purchase. The dryer is really quiet. The dryer has 2 different drying options that we frequently use; the eco dry can tell when the clothes are dry and stops once they are, and then there is a timed dry which is convienent if you want to just warm up some clothes for a few minutes. Thanks fir the question. These items are $39.99 (together). You can order them for either pickup or with your delivery. For delivery, it is model E DRYER KIT and for pickup it is either model W10182830RB or W10182829RB. Your local store should be able to help as well. If you make an online purchase of a deliverable item, a Customer Service Representative will contact you, after the order has been processed, to schedule your delivery.
Services included in Basic Delivery:
- 3-Hour Window: The delivery driver will call on the morning of the delivery, between 6:30am and 8:30am, to provide you with a 3-hour window for delivery. Now you can plan the rest of your day with our three-hour delivery window, and feel confident that you won't miss a meeting, errand, or appointment!
- 40-Minute Call-Ahead Service: The delivery team will call you approximately forty minutes before they arrive at your home, so there is no need to wait at home all day!
- Unpack, level and test appliances. Some exclusions may apply. See Delivery Details below for more information.
- Install icemaker prior to delivery. Complete ice hookups additional charge.
- Partial icemaker line hookup, provided water valve is directly behind refrigerator. Additional fees may apply.
- Switch Refrigerator/Dryer door prior to delivery
- Hook up h.h. gregg electrical cord and dryer venting. Purchased separately.
- Normal gas hookup, provided shut off valve is directly behind the unit. Additional charges may apply. h.h. gregg does not install gas appliances in Tennessee or Alabama
- Removal of boxes and packing materials
- Removal or movement of old appliances, electronics and fitness equipment within the home, at the time of the original delivery, on a one for one basis. h.h. gregg will not remove or move old furniture.
- We cannot disassemble old units or remove stair banister or door frames to remove old appliances.
- Gregg Appliances, Inc. CANNOT be held responsible for any damage to property during removal of old products.
