I know nothing about ovens/stove tops. The last one finally gave out, so I figured that Whirlpool makes reliable, long lasting ones. I'm very happy with our purchase. But I don't really like to use complicated things, so it took me several weeks to look at the panel and notice that there is a light button for the oven. I was delighted to finally notice this. The oven works VERY well too, and is easy to operate. I like the stove top eyes too, they heat up quite rather quickly. I honestly don't know about the energy savings because our energy bills are so low anyway. But I suspect that it's probably even more energy efficient than the old one we had.

I like the looks of the range with the combo of stainless steel and black enamel. One thing that I don't like is the drip pans seems thin and not very long lasting....cheap material of metal......Also the oven drawer for storage is small and the metal again seems to be very filimsy. As far as using the range to cook or bake it works fine.

This electric range is the best I'd ever used. The price was right, too. The oven preheats very quickly and the temperature is accurate, so my food cooks perfectly. The stove-top is so easy to clean, and the self-cleaning oven worked so well that it looked new again. It's got a nice design with a large handle to open the oven with. I liked it so much, I put them in my rental units and my home.

Sometimes when I'm baking the oven freaks out and the temp shoots up 50 degrees.....this usually results in burned food. This doesn't happen often. Its only happened 2 x since I've had it (a little over a month. I like it a lot tho.

I love love love this stove. It is so easy to install as my husband installed it because I was too impatient to wait for delivery. This stove is easy to use and cooks very evenly. The oven has perfect temperature settings on the stove top as well as the oven.

I work for a property management company, Sterling Property Management, Inc. Recently our condo building that consists of 5 condos had a power surge that PPL will not take responsibility for and we had to buy all new appliances for all 5 condos from Refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves and some units washer and dryers. Definitely went with Whirlpool as that is what we had in their prior and never had a problem with it.
