This fridge replaces a reliable 22 year old top freezer "gold" Whirlpool. I'm glad to see the good parts of the design that are time tested are carried forward : door shelf design, inside shelf design, ice maker design. Yet, they are improved: shelves disassemble easier for cleaning, more see-thru plastic, crisper baffle design doesn't get in the way of cleaning. They make good use of the space. The box is quiet. The other sounds like from the ice maker or freon leveling are very infrequent. There is a low hum that can be noticed, but it isn't bad. You read about ice makers being problematic on some brands. I have high hopes here since it looks like the design is similar to my 22 year old one, which was solid. Some things to know: the doors are a "tough pull". The seals give you energy efficiency, but are a bit of a hassle. The leveling feet must be extended so that door opens easy. If you get stainless steel, know that the SIDES are black. This is not clear from the pictures. I would give quality 5 stars, but it came with a non-working freezer bulb. Everything else works great so far. Fingers crossed for another 22 years.

My family has always purchased Whirlpool products due to their quality and dependability but our last purchase was very disappointing. Disappointing due to the noise that this refrigator makes plus not being able to keep the front of the door looking clean. I went to the website to listen to the noise levels before purchasing and nothing was on this site warned me about the freon making such a noise, the best way for me to discribe the noise is a clucking chicken. I was told it only last for a few seconds but it is unpleasant to hear this noise throughout the day and night, needless to say when company is over it is very embarrsing. I love the style and the space that is refrigator has but would not recommend due to the noise that occurs when the freon is leveling out plus not being able to keep the door looking clean.

after having a side by side that you could not put anything into, it is nice to have a unit with great inside space and easy access to anything you need. wasnt sure I would like the bottom freezer, but have adapted to it and really like it better than a top mount. hardly ever runs so i expect a very low impact on my electric bill. overall one of the nicest, user friendly models on the market and very affordable. We have several other whirlpool appliances and all have served us well for many years, i expect the same from this refrigerator.

I am very happy with this fridgerator. We had a 22 cu in side by side before and there was NEVER enough freezer or refrigerator space but when I moved the frozen items to this new one, everything fit with some room left over. I have so much more refrigerator space too, The shelves can be easily adjustable along with door shelves. I am very pleased. The only negative I can find is it is the ice maker is alittle noisy when the trays are being filled and dumped. But, hey, its still a great fridge!

Love the look, features, and ease of use. Was a bit worried because I read a few negative reviews relating to ice build up in the bottom freezer, but purchased anyhow because it fits perfectly in my space and loved the clean look of it. So far, it has been outstanding and I have been very pleased with my purchase. The only issue we had was the refrigerator handle kept coming off.. Whirlpool sent a repair person out quickly and he identified the problem as improper installation by delivery people. He easily re-installed the handle properly making sure to hear the :"click" that it had locked into place. Simple. A great economical fridge with a clean, stylish and pragmatic look.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

According to the manual, the dimensions from the back to the door handle is 30 7/8" but there is no distance from the back to the hinge. However, if you can figure out the door's thickness then you can subtract that from the previous measurement to get a rough estimate. I couldn't find the door's thickness in either the Dimensions Guide or the Use & Care Guide so you might want to call/email Whirlpool, or a distributor/seller of this fridge, and ask them directly.Answered on 11/27/2011 by Anonymous from None

- 40-Minute Call-Ahead Service: The delivery team will call you approximately forty minutes before they arrive at your home, so there is no need to wait at home all day!

- Install icemaker prior to delivery. Complete ice hookups additional charge.
- Partial icemaker line hookup, provided water valve is directly behind refrigerator. Additional fees may apply.
- Switch Refrigerator/Dryer door prior to delivery
- Hook up h.h. gregg electrical cord and dryer venting. Purchased separately.
- Normal gas hookup, provided shut off valve is directly behind the unit. Additional charges may apply. h.h. gregg does not install gas appliances in Tennessee or Alabama
- Removal of boxes and packing materials
- Removal or movement of old appliances, electronics and fitness equipment within the home, at the time of the original delivery, on a one for one basis. h.h. gregg will not remove or move old furniture.
