Compared to JVC Everio camcorder I replaced, this Sony is fabulous. Love the automatic lens cover. The picture quality is great, and the autofocus is spot-on. A good HD camcorder for the casual user like myself.

The first one I was received was a refurb and it was sold "as new." It was covered in fingerprints and in portugese as best as I could guess. I returned it and exchanged it for a new one that was in English. Much better the second time around.
