We purchased this TV for our newly finished basement. Its main purpose was to be an entertainment TV for our children. We deceided to go with a Sharp after having very poor luck with a 58' Samsung Plasma (quit working after 11 mo and 2 plazma board replacements). We are very pleased with this Sharp purchase. Our children loved the Netflix feature on the remote (they are 5 and 4). The only con that we can say about this TV was the sound quality. Once we got the TV mounted on the wall and heard the sound quality we deceided to purchase a surround sound system. Please note that we had plans to purchase one anyway in the future, we just moved the plan up by a few months to make the basement a home theater. Overall a great product and we would recommend to anyone.

This is my second review. I am still having problems with the sound going out when switching from HD to 3D or DVR or Analog with a cable box. I have to turn off the cable box and turn it back on to get the sound to return.I called the Sharp service line and they confirmed that it is a COMMON problem and gave me a few suggestions none of which worked. The cable company said that it IS a common problem with Sharp TVs. I am pretty much stuck with this TV because I have already purchased 5 sets of 3D glasses. I have tweaked the picture settings to produce a good picture and would be satisfied with the TV if I could find a solution to the sound problem. I would not recommend a Sharp product if you have cable.

This tv is awesome 3d movies are great but the video games even better. For the price its worth every penny. The sound is ok got a Bose sound bar with and it's just amazing.

It is the center piece of my home theater. Everyone that sees it praises the picture quality, the four color pixles definately make the picture deeper, richer and more vivid! I shopped for two years before making my decision. This was not a spontainious purchase. I looked long & hard at the Samsung but with the same input & lighting the Sharp had the better picture. Most flat screens have weak sound out put, not this unit, it has robust room filling sound. I recommended the Aquos to a coworker, he bought one and loves it! Great unit I`am crazy about it.
