Purchases made between February 1st and March 2nd, 2017, with receipt, may be returned within 30 days of purchase date, in accordance with our return policy.
hhgregg® is proud to offer hassle-free returns and exchanges. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange (subject to the exclusions and terms below). Please note that some products are non-returnable or are subject to a shorter return period, as specified below. Simply return your purchase in like-new condition in the original packaging with all contents (including product manuals, accessories and warranty information) and your original receipt or packing slip.
In-store and online purchases can be returned or exchanged at any hhgregg® store location, and online orders can also be returned or exchanged by mail.
Exceptions to Return & Exchange Policy
Certain products and services may not be returned or exchanged, including the following:
- Labor, delivery and/or installation services
- Activation and services fees associated with subscription-based services
- Pre-paid cards (e.g. gift, music, photo, video, gaming or phone cards)
- Personalized items
- Sony (online-only products)
- Vizio (online-only products)
- Samsung (online only product)
- Furniture picked up at store
- Mattress (no refunds and exchanges are not valid in some states)
- Mattress foundations, adjustable bases and pillows (no returns)
- Non-defective, opened video games, music, movies and computer software
- Items that have been damaged through intentional or accidental abuse
Computers, Tablets, Related Merchandise, & Drones
Computers, including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, related software, hardware, monitors, accessories, and drones must be returned or exchanged within 15 days of purchase.
Sony, Vizio, & Samsung online-only product do not qualify for hhgregg's return policy.
To return any item due to damage (exterior and/or interior) the damage must be reported to hhgregg® within 24 hours of the reception of product and, if possible, along with pictures of the damage. Please contact the hhgregg® Customer Care team at 1-866-974-7344, hhgregg®'s Customer Service agents will review the information and work with you on a solution.
To reschedule or cancel your furniture delivery, please contact us within at least 48 hours in advance. Upon receipt of your furniture, carefully inspect each piece of furniture. Any visible damage must be noted on your delivery receipt and provided to the driver at the time of delivery or reported to Customer Service within 3 days. If damage is reported, we will make arrangements for a qualified technician to come to your home to repair your furniture to "like new" condition or exchange it if such repair is not possible. If you decide to return the furniture for preference reasons, you must contact hhgregg® Customer Service within 3 days after your receipt of the furniture, and we will allow a one-time exchange for another product of equal or greater value (you will pay any difference in price). Delivery fees are non-refundable, and a redelivery fee will be charged on all exchanges. No returns or exchanges will be permitted on furniture picked up at the store, so please inspect your furniture before you take possession.
Mattresses and Foundations
If you are not satisfied with your mattress purchase within the applicable trial periods below, we allow a one-time exchange of equal value, or you may select a set of greater value and pay the difference. The following trial periods apply: Tempur-Pedic: 90 days; Serta iComfort: 120 days; All other mattresses: 45 days. Trial periods and comfort guarantees apply only to mattresses and do not include foundations, adjustable bases or pillows, which cannot be returned. Delivery fees are non-refundable, and a redelivery fee will be charged on all exchanges. No refunds are available for mattresses. Mattress exchanges not valid in some states.
Special Order returns or cancellations are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Special Order items are items not generally carried by hhgregg and/or which require that an order be placed directly with the manufacturer or distributor.
Promotional Offers / Bundles
If you return an item bought as part of a bundle or with a promotional discount or free item and you do not return everything in unused and resalable condition, your refund or exchange may be reduced by the value of the discount or free item. In the event of a return of items purchased in connection with a promotional or reward card or mail-in rebate, all or a portion of the card or rebate amount may be deducted from any refund or exchange.
Where all conditions for returning or exchanging a purchase are not met (e.g., you do not have original packaging or accessories or do not have your receipt or packing slip), hhgregg® may, in its discretion, permit the return or exchange of the purchase subject to a minimum restocking charge of 15% of the purchase price (unless prohibited by law).
How To Return or Exchange Your Online Purchase
There are two ways to return or exchange your online purchase. Either take it into any hhgregg® store or return or exchange it by mail within the applicable return or exchange period.
Return or Exchange at an hhgregg Store
Avoid additional shipping charges by returning or exchanging your online purchase at one of hhgregg®'s retail store locations along with the following:
- Your original warehouse packing slip
- All original packaging, product manuals, accessories and warranty information
Return or Exchange by Mail
You can also return or exchange your online purchase by mail by following the 3 easy steps below:
- First, contact Customer Service at 1-866-974-7344 to obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA#) and for information on where to ship your return.
- Next, pack all of the original packaging together including: product (must have the original manufacturer box or carton); all original packing materials; manuals; accessories and warranty information. Include inside the box a paper with the RMA# and order number. Include the RMA# on the outside of the box as well.
- Ship it. So that you have proof of delivery, we recommend that you return items via UPS ground or insured USPS. Shipping charges are your responsibility, unless the product was damaged, defective or the wrong item was shipped, in which case, we will credit you for all reasonable shipping charges.
How To Return or Exchange Your In-store Purchase
We will gladly return or exchange your in-store purchase at any hhgregg store location within the applicable return or exchange period accompanied by:
- Your original sales receipt
- All original packaging, product manuals, accessories and warranty information
Online Order Cancellations
hhgregg® starts processing and fulfilling your online order as soon as you make your purchase. If you need to cancel your order, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible at 1-866-974-7344. hhgregg online customer care will attempt to stop the order before it ships and process a refund for your order. Once the order has shipped, it cannot be canceled. If you wish to return any part of your order, hhgregg®'s return policy applies. If you cannot take delivery of your freight shipment or you cancel your shipment with the freight carrier, your order will be returned and you will be refunded the order amount minus any incurred shipping charges to and from the shipping address. NOTE: These charges may differ from the promotional shipping charges offered at the time of sale.
Orders being picked up at a store may be canceled any time prior to picking up the order for a full return unless noted otherwise.
Online Orders being delivered may be canceled any time before the day of delivery unless noted otherwise.
With a few exceptions, refunds will be made using the same payment method as the original purchase. Refunds over $250 will be made by check within 30 business days if the original purchase was made with cash or check. If the original purchase was made using a credit card, debit card or hhgregg card, the refund will be given through a credit to the original account. PayPal refunds will be made by check within 30 business days. Purchases made with an hhgregg® store credit or gift card may be refunded as a store credit. Please allow 10 to 14 business days for processing online refunds or exchanges. For purchases by check, refunds will be made by check and are subject to confirmation that your check has cleared.
We reserve the right to ask for a valid government-issued photo ID with any return or exchange.
