I purchased the 60PA5500 to upgrade from an aging rear projection TV, and the image quality is amazing. After researching the different TV technologies out there I had to go with plasma. I also was preferring a "dumb" TV, without any built in apps and internet connected features, since I already have access to all the streaming features I want. I can't stress enough how amazing the picture quality of this set is. Cons: The audio is poor, but it is a flat panel TV, so it is expected. It would be nice to have the different input options available as individual buttons on the remote to quickly jump to an input instead of having to cycle through the attached inputs. It would also be much more convenient to make custom labels for the inputs, like labeling an input as "Roku", instead of the very limited, generic options available. Pros: THE CONTRAST!!! The screen really pops on this TV. The settings are pretty succinct and complete. I really like the Set by Program option for the aspect ratio, so the display automatically switches between 4:3 and 16:9 depending on the what the signal is that is coming in. With three HDMI inputs, two component and one VGA for a PC connection, there are plenty of inputs. Great price! You get a lot of TV for the price.

Comments about LG 60" Class 1080p Plasma HDTV (59.8" actual diagonal size):
We compared reviews and picture quality on the three major television technologies: LED, LCD, and Plazma. It seems that they all have their own benifits. We decided on the Plazma because of the picture and razor thin profile. Then we compared all the brands that we liked rating picture quality, features, and value. The LG came out on top. We think this unit is Supa-Dupa!!

This product has a very good picture with just an outdoor antenna. The set up was very easy and the controls are very user friendly. You have to read the manual if this is your first flat screen, but the instructions are very easy to understand. Blu ray or DVD show very good pictures. HD lets you see the imperfections or perfections on peoples faces.

Comments about LG 60" Class 1080p Plasma HDTV (59.8" actual diagonal size):
I purchased this tv because it was on sale. I was looking for a LCD TV, but when i seen the picture quaility of this plasma i changed my mind. I was blown away with the clarity of the picture. It has all of the hook-ups i was looking for, such as 3 HDMI's built in digital box for an antenna hook-up for free tv. And it swivels on the stand. I'm very pleased with my purchase. If you add an LG sound bar it is awesome.

Comments about LG 60" Class 1080p Plasma HDTV (59.8" actual diagonal size):
I bought this tv literally half the price of a 60'' LED and I am very pleased. The clarity, the ultra thin thickness, and slick appearance made me a happy camper. The first thing I did was hook up my BLURAY player and popped in the Gladiator. One of the fight scenes towards the end of the movie has a tiger in it and the clarity is unbelievable which pushes that 600hz to the max. Best TV I've ever bought!
