I'll admit I was a little overwhelmed when we first got our LG. I hadn't bought a washer in over 12 years and a lot had changed since then. A lot more options for washing our clothes. I read a lot of the available reviews and wondered if I'd have the same problem with the Washer I got. Well, I needn't have worried because a lot of the things people were complaining about were just their lack of reading the manual! I saw all kinds of complaints about not being able to open the door to add something to the wash that had been left out. Well, the door unlocks just fine if you repress the start button, have patients for about 3 seconds and then you hear the door unlock and there you are! Anyway, This may sound silly but of all the features our machine has my absolute favorite is the 15 minute wash cycle! Woohoo! When you want to wear something you've had in the closet awhile and it just doesn't smell really fresh any more? Just pop that baby into the washer for that 15 minute wash and hit the dryer and you are set! I love it. Great for delicates that don't need to slosh around in soap for a long time too. It's better for a lot of your delicates. Well, I love all the options on our new machine now and can't say enough good things about it. Hope you find your match like we did. P.S. Love the musical sounds when dialing in your wash options and when the load is done! Giggles!

This washer was recommended by a Consumer Report magazine and it definitely is a good value as well as washes our clothes very well. It is easy to use and the cycle times are reasonable. However, I would not recommend it to anyone I know because 1) At the beginning of the wash cycle, it sprays water on and off continually for about 16 times. This noise is incredibly irritating and can be heard throughout our entire house. I worry that this start/stop action is hard on our water pipes. 2) After the wash is done, the clothes get binded together which is also irritating. If it weren't for these 2 items, this would be an excellent washer.

My finance, at the time, pressured me to by this, even tough my top loader worked fine. We went to buy it on a rainy day and took hours to find out it had to be delivered. Then, it sat in garage for a month or so until I got rid of the old washer. It does spin very well, but the story of how complicated and unnecssary the purchase was was priceless. Still, is very good.

My wife and I love this washer for our regular laundry. We didn't feel we needed the "steam" cycle and didn't want a whole bunch of bells and whistles. However, being able to put in a pre-wash AND extra rinse without having to do each step manually is super nice compared to our last washer. The WaterPlus option is also super nice. Only concern has to do with the load sensing. Since it uses the "load sensor" to determine how much water to use in the wash cycle, I'm always concerned that it won't use enough water to adequately dissolve the detergent. Even when I CRAM the washer with clothes, I can only get 3/5 bars to light for the load. Do I need to put in lead shot? My goodness what does it take?! However, the good news is that what used to take two loads in a water-wasting top-loader is now just one load in this one. All in all, I don't think we could be much happier.

After using top-loaders for more years than I care to remember, I finally acquired this front-loader. I am very impressed by the efficiency and speed of its's functions. The window is a plus for me (my strange quirk) as I like to visually confirm that I haven't once again been too heavy on the addition of wash products. Paying attention to the MIN/MAX lines in the products drawer takes care of overuse of products. The end of cycle tune is just the frosting on the cake. VERY well thought out and logical. The only detractor I can see is an unexplained, not offensive odor which may be the seal. Since I am inexperienced with front loaders with large seals, this may be normal. Not a big deal, and doesn't transfer to my laundry. WELL DONE, LG!

After 1 month of using this LG washer, I will never buy anything else again! I have always had top load/agitator models that I thought did a good job. Now I know better. Items that I thought were permanently dingy are really clean now. With the more efficient spin cycle, my old dryer that used to take 90 minutes to dry any size load, now only takes about 40 minutes. The controls & settings are user friendly and have all the features I need or want. The energy efficiency of less water, less time, and less dryer is a bonus. I did a fair amount of internet research on reliability before choosing the LG and it was always rated near the top. I absolutely recommend it!

We love this washing machine we have to say you really hit the jackpot designing this washer. You have thought of everything-right down to the little melody at the end only thing missing is the app that lets me know my cloths are done. Laundry is super-clean-using a lot less water and detergent and come out smelling great.. We love it and have recommended to two friends and they bought it also.....keep up the good work.

This washer replaced my 15 year old top load model which was pretty much worn out. I've always wanted a front load machine. The LG is terrific. I can't believe how little water and detergent it uses, not to mention energy. It does a super job cleaning my laundry and it's so quiet it's unbelievable. I also bought the matching dryer which is equally as good. I highly recommend this washer to anyone. Whenever I have to replace another appliance you can guarantee it will be an LG!

Excellent High Tech Front Loading Washer

We bought this washer based on Internet ratings and reviews in order to replace a 13 year old top loading washer that started leaking. The technical features and efficiency of this new LG front loader is like comparing the quality of a CD to an old Phonograph record when comparing it to the old top loader that we replaced. It uses very little water or detergent so is much better for the environment. It cleans the clothes as well as the old technology but is much easier on the material compared to the beating the old agitator used to dish out. The only problem is the vibration that occurs during the spin cycle which at times feels a little excessive. I used 2 levels to make sure the machine is perfectly level and installed the non-skid adhesive pads to the floor that comes with the machine. The vibration is markedly improved but bulky items can cause some imbalance during the spin cycle which we are now aware of. The machine is well designed, solid, easy to use, has more than enough features and cycles for our needs, and we now can't wait to do the laundry.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this washer and I actually look forward to laundry day. I have been able to cut the time I spend on laundry in half, which leaves time to spend with my kids, etc. I love the jingle when you turn it on and when the wash cycle is done. It even gives you how long the wash cycle will last. The washers final spin gets so much moisture out that the clothes are in the dryer at least 15 min. less than with my old washer, saving electricity and money. Thank you LG for building such great washing machines!! Can't wait to buy more products from LG, I'm a customer for life!!

I went from an older top loading washer to this front loading one. I like that it is stackable, it was not overly expensive, and it fits my needs. I can now wash our comforters and blankets at home, I can fit two loads from my old washer into just one for this washer. I love everything about it so far!
