Bought this as extra TV to watch football games in man cave. Was lury at first because lack of name recognition. I have to say I'm amazed at the picture quality & sound. Hooked up to Direct TV w/ HD. Everyone who watches it says the same thing. Wish you could get a bigger screen size than 40" as I would definitely buy one. This is a great TV for the money.

Bought Sunday 12/11/11. Set up easy. There is a red dot right in the middle of the picture which will not go away. TV will not turn on with universal Comcast remote. Need to unplug and plug back in. Will be returning as soon as I can get back to the store this weekend. Spend the extra money for a quality namebrand.

Comments about Coby 40" 1080p LCD HDTV:
The sound and picture went out one month after buying. The TV was replaced less than a week ago. The new one took three tries to get it to turn on this AM. No-it is not the remote. The service agreement (they sell) I purchased from hhgregg for in home service does not cover Coby products. So it must be lugged to the store.
The sound is really bad. Some stations require max volume.

A:
This product will allow you to connect your laptop up to it to make presentations as long as your laptop has a 15 pin VGA connector. The VGA connector on your laptop will be a blue input that will be either on the sides or back of the laptop. You will also need a male to female VGA cable to connect the two.Answered on 4/24/2012 by Community Answer from None

Why is this?? what I am doing wrong?? please Help I'm puzzle!! thanks HenryAsked on 3/4/2012 by Henry from Miami, Fl.Know the answer? Answer this question

A:
Hi Henry, thanks for the question. That sound system is not on the website so I am not sure what inputs it has. The TV usually does not make any difference in the sound system depending on how its hooked up. The problem is likely with the inputs. I would recommend calling your local store to ask for a recommendation, so they can ask what inputs it has. Thanks.Answered on 3/19/2012 by Melanie, hhgregg from Indianapolis, INA:
I am not really sure what your problem is, because I cannot physically see how you have the system hooked up. My best advice is to disconnect everything, and start from scratch. Connect each of the wires, one at a time, by following the installation and connection instructions and diagrams in the manual.Answered on 3/7/2012 by Community Answer from None

Thanks for the question. You will likely need HDMI cables to connect your TV to most devices, like home theater systems, DVD/Blu-ray players, and gaming systems.
